Luis Palau’s Thoughts on Heaven

If we were together today, I would tell you about Jesus Christ. I would tell you the wonder of what it feels like to be dying without fear. I would tell you that Christ has been the best of friends and masters to me. Never once has He failed or abandoned me. Not at my poorest. Not at my loneliest. Not at my most stubborn or arrogant or hard-hearted. I would tell you that I see His work at every turn of my life, faithfully providing. God has provided, through Jesus, a way for you to come home. Every sin of yours will be forgotten. Every wickedness washed clean. Your every wound can be bound up and allowed to heal. He promises you “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.” It is real. It is good. All that you must do is go to Him on the cross. All that you must do is say “Yes” to free salvation through His blood. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you wish to do this, right now, simply pray: Father, I confess I have fallen short of Your glory. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that in Your love You have not left me to death and loneliness. I believe that Jesus Christ died to bring life to me and to the whole world and that You raised Him from the dead. Please wash me in His blood, forgiving all my sins. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and make me a new creation. Please give me the assurance of eternal life. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
